How to fight against violence and its consequences in feminist circles by a collective ownership?
Talking about violence in urban activist inevitably generates rejection reactions, opposing stances and attacks on the methodology, people and / or group concerned. According to some people, violence considered private should remain in private. This is the method used in the home to stifle the voices of abused people and the best way not to call into question the structure which admits or legitimate violence. This text should enable Pink Panthers react when they are acquired by a person alleging violence between individuals in the community activists, specifically in cases of violence that make sharing space activists needed.
This reflection is inspired by and is in line with the work produced by other feminist collectives (see bibliography below).
denunciation of violence and the fight against them is a component of feminist struggle in the same way that actions and deliberations on gender, labor, discrimination and oppression. This fight is part of the belief that the personal is political, which leads to reject the privatization of these questions by referring to the individual field. Attention, querying and the collective treatment of internal problems in our movements is a legacy of the feminist movement.
We are aware that violence can be exercised even within our current policy and not just the fact of men outside. We denounce the belief that sometimes being that women are only victims of sexism, unable to produce or to relay the violence. We assume that the nominees are not as violent monsters to ostracize, but the product of a society that is structured by violence.
We question the principle of equality between people which refers to attackers and attacked same responsibilities and induces participation assaulted in the outbreak of violence in order to minimize its scope.
means that we seek to implement are to: * Avoid
self-exclusion of militants attacked areas where they do not want to be in the presence of their abuser. Without mediation, the division of space is always in favor of the aggressor.
* Allow Assault to talk in confidence to the violence. To address the doubts and questioning commonly observed in the process of accepting the position of having been assaulted. Awareness and disclosure of violence take time so we need help speaking with a position of trust that can overcome the taboo. * The

empower them to decide on collective action to take.
* Make visible and conscious in the feminist community violence may exist within it. Thus people who experience them perceive that beyond a personal history it is a structural issue. This issue must be addressed politically and collectively. * Avoid
ostracization aggressors. For example, mediation may be to establish a sharing of spaces defined by the victim of violence, the perpetrator and others. It seeks to enable assaulted as the attackers to keep a space for activism and socializing rather than creating antagonistic groups, ineffective in managing these situations.
* Banish violence in our communities. Our violence must be conscious and worked to direct them toward real political enemies.
To achieve these objectives we are careful to maintain a collective approach in which we share a common consensus for further action.
order not to expose those involved in personal attacks, we wish to maintain their anonymity. In addition, we recognize that customization defer attention to individuals at the expense of developing a solution.
We do not allow ourselves to judge anyone, nor abusers, nor attacked.
We take into account the difficulties that may encounter assaulted speak and we listen to what they mean.
We do not require explanation or evidence other than what they choose to say.
We have no requirement on the attitude of assault (there is no "right" attitude), subject in turn to exercise violence.
We aim to create a safe space which does not question that said the victim of violence.
We are working together to put actions in place, ensuring that they are bearable and assumed for the abused, the abusers and the collective.
We do not want a conviction, we work for the victim of violence, not to the disadvantage of the aggressor.
Seeking mediation is a tool that can be used to raise awareness to the abuser what happened and find ways that allow the victim of violence for peaceful evolution in space activists.
In case of failure or refusal of mediation in cases of non compliance with the agreement of the mediation, the only tool at our disposal is the temporary sidelining of the aggressor space activist order 'presence will allow the victim of violence. This solution does not satisfy us, an alternative must be found.
We encourage the establishment of a framework that allows an attacker can work on their acts of violence in confidence and without trial.
Spaces activists
We deplore any violence destabilizes visibilization spaces activists and generates a climate of distrust. Minimization or denial of the Word of assault is an attempt to circumvent the political question raised collectively. Attempts turnaround led by the attackers are common and must be defused.
We want spaces activists can ask questions and deal with violence in it because it moves us forward in developing our projects and utopias. The guarantee of safe spaces for any consolidation ties and strengthen us in the struggle. Our ability to work all the questions, even the most uncomfortable, we can reflect and address gender-based mechanisms at work in society and, inevitably, through us.

note debate We seek to further elaborate on this subject with groups and individuals with a feminist reflection on this subject. We will publish all contributions that clarify, contradict, complement and refine the proposals in this text. is why this text is open to comments moderated. This does not mean that the Pink Panthers agree with the content and assume simply that we believe that these contributions are useful for reflection. We continue our discussion with these inputs, leading to the drafting of a text richer. We hope that this text contributes to the initiation of work in other groups and that exchanges take place on this subject.
